On Tuesday, August 6th, 2002 Robert Vickerman lost his battle with a Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor. He fought tirelessly for almost three years, undergoing seven different surgical procedures in addition to receiving radiation, chemotherapy and several other experimental treatments.
But there is so much more to his life and to his memory than the horrible illness that took him at such an early age.
On Friday, September 20th, we invite you to join us as we celebrate all that was great about Rob - his love of life, his generosity, his sense of humor, his intelligence and his courage.
We are holding this special memorial at The Picnic House at Brooklyn's Prospect Park from 1:30pm to 3:00pm. A link for directions and further information is included below.
I hope you will join us in honoring an incredible son, brother, and friend.
