I index local history books when I read them. I also like to transcribe cemeteries or census records as the mood strikes me. I don't do personal research and I don't know where the Colorado vital records are located. For that kind of info you need to go to the Colorado GenWeb site.

This is a genealogy site only. I can't help you with your Colorado vacation plans.

Many people are sending me "flyers" where they ask me if I have heard of "so-and-so" who lived in Colorado. If it isn't here then I don't know. Please do not email me with "flyers".

If you find the name of a relative on this site, I will be glad to give you my sources. Most of them can then be obtained through interlibrary loan.

Some
of you are sending me sloppy or incomplete emails, which doubles my workload.
You simply must do the following or I can't answer you. |
| 1.
Sign your name to your email. Most people, including myself, don't
respond well to anonymous requests for information. |

| 2.
Put the name of the list in the subject line such as "Early Gunnison
County Residents". There are alot of lists on this site and I simply
can't look through each list to find which one contains "Frank Murphy". |

| 3. Although it seems obvious, many of you are emailing me with all kinds of details on your ancestor - but you don't give me a name to work with! "Grandmother" or "Great-Uncle" is hard to look up in an index! | |
