Boxer Tails
In some countries, docking of the tail is illegal. If tails are docked, it is done at about 3 days of age along with the removal of the dewclaws. To get a nice length in a show Boxer, the vet will use a nickel, butted up against the anus, under the tail to measure. This will give you about a 3" tail at adulthood.
