About Wadaduga
I'm a tsalagi woman from Missouri, red hair, green eyes, 5'10", 100% disabled USAF Gulf War Veteran, married to a USAF retired Veteran.  wadaduga is tsalagi (Cherokee) for Dragonfly.  Married, with two children, three step-children, and   five grandchildren.  My bloodline comes from my tsalagi great grandmother, Frances Rogers.  My heritage comes from the knowledge of my ancestry. The path I follow is the one the Creator has shown my heart to be true.  I work for our future, by learning our heritage to pass on to my children and grandchildren.  And I pray for unity, that we may all come together to safeguard our history and preserve our ways for future generations.

My Hobbies & Interests
I am interested in my family, veterans issues, our heritage, disability and service animal issues.  I enjoy fishing, reading, my computer, cooking, making new friends, and making a difference. I also write poetry.  "My body may be earthbound, but my spirit flies free!"

National Native American Veterans Association

Are you a veteran, military retiree or active duty service member of Native American descent (tribally registered or not))  We would like to invite you to join us!

The mission of the National Native American Veterans Association is to educate and assist Native American Veterans without regard to tribal affiliation, degree of Indian blood, branch of Armed Service or combat status with regard to Veterans Rights, Benefits and Entitlements.

National Native American Veterans Association is a newly founded organization as of April 2004.  Based out of Oklahoma, founder Tom Berry has long wished for there to be one place that Native American Veterans can turn to for information and assistance.

Each veteran deserves representation which understands their unique needs, and the Native American Veterans have long been overlooked in this regard.  Tribal and local veterans organizations have long sought to fill this void, but now for the first time, a National Association is being started, specifically for the Native American veteran!

My Poetry
 (From On-) High Cover

As desert winds blow, and planes soar overhead,
Their shadow casts long across the sands.
Flying high cover, protect those beneath.
As our troops advance to liberate far lands.

Together we watch and pray for their safety,
As daily we see and hear the news.
Mindful of fears and dreams and hopes,
Aware they are far from loved ones and hearth.

Each bomb that falls, each missile that fires,
Is one day closer to clearing the viper’s nest,
One step closer to freedom for the oppressed,
One step closer to home for our finest and best.

As we fly our flags and support our troops,
We pray that the bullets don’t reach their mark,
Only the arrows of love we send with our prayers,
To safely pierce and shield a loved one’s heart.

So I beg you, regardless of politics and desires,
War or Peace, two sides, two opposing views,
Support the Brave, fly our Flag for support,
Say a prayer to the One Above for each and all of our troops.
