January 9th Thursday Thawing fast. Churned, mopped and afternoon went to sewing society at Mrs. Geer's. A good deal accomplished.
January 10th Friday Cold, baked pies and bread. Sewed on Will's waist. Mrs. Bentley staid here. Got supper and did up the work. Finished Will's shirt and commenced another.
Eunice Amelia Fobes, born: 24 June 1814, Wayne, Ashtabula, OH married Lyman Bentley 7 November, 1858, Born: Abt. 1810 Wayne Ashtabula, OH. Eunice, daughter of Levi Fobes and Eunice Brown of Somers, CT. Eunice admitted to Wayne Congregational Church by examination. 2 Nov. 1834, she had a twin sister, Phebe, who died March 17, 1815, at 9 months. ref. the Fobes family in America, the Descendants of John Fobes.
January 11th Saturday Cold, hurried through with the work and went to the center store, went down home and twisted 6 balls of yarn. Did the ironing, hemmed two towels, got supper, finished Will's shirt and ran the heels to his stockings.
January 12th Sunday Raining, cold at night. Went to church half a day, got supper, sewed.
January 13th Monday Very cold forenoon, mended stockings. Afternoon mended dresses.Evening Dar's mittens
January 14th Tuesday Cold but pleasant. Forenoon baked pies and bread and did up the work, went up to Jane's. Sewed up the valance to my lounge, got supper. Knit and hemmed two handkerchiefs for Will.

January 15th Wednesday Rainy, did up the work and went washing. Went to Gustavus, got supper etc. Evening sewed on my lounge valance and shirts.
January 16th Thursday Very cold but pleasant. Did up my mornings work and cut out a night dress for Will and a pair of pants for Dar. Afternoon went to society at the church, came home got supper and knit.
January 17th Friday Not quite so cold. Did up the work and cut out a pair of pants for Will and got the lounge ready to cover. Afternoon went to Mrs. Platt's visiting, sewed the stockings and darned some.
