MY TRIBUTE TO MELANIE ANN SCIENCE
Dec. 2, 1958 - March 14, 2004
Mel was not only my cousin, but my friend.  We have always been close, even as kids.  We grew up together, went to the same church, and graduated from Marietta High School together in 1977.  We shared MANY good times at church and at church camp every summer when we were kids.  We ran around together as adults, and had some good CLEAN fun.
I will never forget the time that Teresa and I hired a person to act as "ZORO" for her birthday.  I thought she would kill us at first, but once he got on his knees and gave her flowers, along with a birthday poem, we all knew she LOVED every minute of it.  This is just one of the many good times that we shared.  When I moved from Marietta in 1997, we would always look forward into getting to visit with each other whenever I go home to Marietta.
All during our childhood and even into our adult years, the cousin gang, was ALWAYS....Mel, Teresa (Thrasher) Emerick, Paula Farnsworth, and me.  It was always me, Teresa and Paula, along with Mel, who had the FUN, doing things that we now look back on and laugh.

I will miss you my dear cousin, and friend.  We will all be together someday having MORE fun than we ever had before.  In the meantime, I vow to you, that I will continue our tradition of all of us getting together every summer, just as before, setting at your graveside with Teresa and Paula talking about all the wonderful years we had growing up, and the funny things we did as adults,  laughing and crying at the same time.  ---Debbie (Noland) Nitsche
