The Welsh American Society of Central CA cordially invites the Welsh American Society of Northern CA, Sacramento Welsh Circle, Irish Society of Stanislaus County, St. Andrew’s Society of Modesto, Clan Hay Scottish Society, families, friends and all those interested - of any age!
Each organization is invited to bring their banner to display. Please bring any necessary equipment to display the banner.

Enjoy a lovely June day, warm breezes, cool shade under 258 acres of giant oak trees, good friends and plenty of activities! Zoo, Japanese Tea Garden, Historical Museum,Children’s Carnival-type rides, and even golf for the avid golfer!*
If you have bag pipes, a guitar, mandolin, banjo, or any type of instrument to accompany singing, bring it along -- we might even have some Celtic singing.
In lieu of a picnic lunch, we ask that you bring your favorite recipe dish to share, your eating utensils, beverages (no liquor, please) and ice chests. If you would like, the following suggestions are offered: Those with last name initials from
A to M - Bring an Entree dish; N to R - a Salad; S to T - Potato Chips, Corn Chips, other snack items, or condiments; U to Z - Desserts.
Look for our Welsh American Society of Central CA banner and any other Celtic organization banners present, then you’ll know you’re at the right location!
Directions:
Highway 99 - Take the Armstrong Rd. exit. Go West on Armstrong Rd. to Micke Grove Rd. Turn south on Micke Grove Road and take the first park entrance.
Look for the banners.
I-5 - Take the Eight Mile Rd. exit. Go east on Eight Mile Rd. to Micke Grove Rd. (several miles). Turn north on Micke Grove Rd., go past the golf course and take the second park entrance. Look for the banners.
*Micke Grove Admission Rates:
Park Entrance Fee - $5 per car
Japanese Tea Garden - No charge
Zoo - 2 years of age and under, free; 3 to 17 years, $1; Adults, $2
Historical Museum - 5 years of age and under, free;
6 to 12 years and Seniors, $1;
13 years of age and up, $2
