Master John L. Holloway

Currently Vice President of the United States Taekwondo Union (USTU)
Sixth degree Black Belt

Mr. John Holloway has been very active in Taekwondo. Mr. John Holloway is a 6th degree black belt and certified Master Instructor. He is owner and instructor of Gentle East Martial Arts taekwondo school with branches in Silver Spring and Germantown, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Mr. Holloway has been involved in every single U.S.T.U. National Championship as a winning competitor or referee. As an official, Mr. Holloway served the U.S.T.U. as the organization's first Athletic Advisory Council Chairman and as Eligibility Chairman. An international referee, Mr. Holloway has refereed Pan Am Games and Olympic team trials.

John Holloway is the first athlete ever in the U.S.T.U. to come up through the ranks and hold elected office. Mr. Holloway is a 1972 B.S. graduate of Howard University in Washington, D.C. A father of five, he resides in Washington, D.C.
