How I became Wayne's
I am a 72 Imperial Lebaron 4 door hardtop. I have about 80k on me, but I try not to show it. Wayne found me here in Dallas through an ad in the newspaper. He restored my true color, had a new top put on me, and restored some of my seat covers (which are a stunning metallic gold leather) to close to their original beauty. My headliner is also new. I run great, and even my tempermental AirTemp II works fine. Since this picture was taken, I have gotten back my original wheelcovers, and will soon have my fender skirts painted and back on. I'll be ready for a true 70's night on the town!

My former life
I remember very little about my former life. I was apparently re-painted at one time, and it wasn't a very flattering shade of yellow. (I prefer cream of course.) My top had also been replaced, and the new one wasn't sealed very well, since it leaked and in fact, retained water, causing rust just behind the windshield. The resulting pimples weren't flattering, and I was starting to leak to the inside.

My Spec's
I have a 440 cid V8, and although I understand that 235 horsepower isn't great by my ancestor's standards, by 1972 it was pretty high. I have, of course, full power, 3 speed Torqueflite transmission, front disc brakes, (but alas, not the sure-brake option- 4 wheel anti-lock brakes which were an industry first on the 71 model).
I ride like a yacht, which is why Wayne calls me his "land yacht" I guess.
