Western North Carolina Turtle Conservation Center

Our Mission:

Our mission statement here at the Western North Carolina Turtle Conservation Center is to provide a long term, safe, happy, and clean environment for turtles who may be to sick or injured to survive in the wild. We also wish to care for sick and injured turtles who can be released back into the wild, once their illness has been taken care of. Also we will take in those turtles who have been pets, that are no longer wanted. All of the will result in our sharing with the community at large the importance of conservation and education about turtles.

Our Status:

Currently the Western North Carolina Turtle Conservation Center is in the infant stage. We have no permanent facility or grounds, and are in need of such a place, as well as caring conservation individuals who would be willing to volunteer their time to run this facility and care for our turtle friends. We also need the volunteer help of Vats who are well versed in turtle medical needs. Finally, like most nonprofit groups, we needs donations. Donations of time, services, facilities and money. If you are interested in providing any of these services, please contact Jeffrey Blackwell here at WNCTurtleConsrve@aol.com
