SCRUNCHIE:
(the scrunchie pictured also has beads, you can do it with or without beads).
Without Beads:
with sc, cover a pony tail elastic-keep pushing the stitches together to make it very full. Then just follow the sock edge pattern above.
With Beads:
first string many (the number will depend on how many sc you will have covering the elastic), I always string way more than I think I will need.
Follow the sock edge pattern above to the last row.
For the last row:
ch 1, sc in same st, * ch 2, skip next st, dc in next st, ch 3 and draw up a bead (remove hook from work, using a smaller hook-put hook through bead and pull ch3 through the bead), skip next st, sc in next st, repeat from * around, join w/ sl st in first sc.
Finish off and weave ends in.
