G'day and welcome to my world! My names Wally and I'm a woolly spoodle dog, also known as a cockapoo, a great mix of poodle and American cocker spaniel. I was born on the 7th of March, 2000, the Chinese year of the Golden Dragon, (which Mum tells me makes me extra special) and now live in my excellent backyard in Melbourne with my brother Dougal, also a spoodle, who was born on the 28th of December 2001.
Dougal and I have a great life together. Mum takes us for daily walks either over to the creek, where we can chase bunnies to our hearts content and generally leave our "mark" on everything, ha ha, or in summer, she tends to take us to the Altona dog beach, the best place out in summer for woolly mongrels like Dougal and I. The beach is great to play chasey games on and Dougal and I love to go for a swim. Best of all, though, are the silly little birds that I (yes! just me!!) get to chase in circles all around the beach. I could chase those little buggers all day! When we're not on our walks you can find us either curled up on Mum and Dads bed or out in the backyard doing what us dogs do best....chasing balls, rumbling each other, chewing on our lamb riblets, keeping birds and cats out and of course, my personal favourite....woofing at anything I feel like...and I feel like it a lot, ha ha ha. You might think I am just a fluffy bludger, but I earn my keep. Mum and I have been competing in the doggie sport of flyball for around 4 years now. I have been to heaps of places with the team, Canberra, Adelaide, Korrumburra, Wonthaggi, Euroa, Geelong, Yarram, Frankston, Croydon and Ballarat to name a few and have won an absolute truckload of dogfood in all the teams comps. (I am a member of the T-Keilor Shots) I am not the fastest of dogs, but have so far earnt enough points to reach my FDCh (flyball dog champion) title. I need just over 400 more points to earn the title of AFDCh (Australian flyball dog champion). Mum reckons it's a bloody good thing flyball season has just started proper over here....I might just get those points this season......with a bit of luck.....and some fast teammates, ha ha! Anyhow, if you find yourself at a flyball comp, pop in and say G'day. I love meeting new mates (except for puppies.....keep your cute little puppies away from me....they detract from me!) and being told how wonderful I am. Until I see you then, take it easy and check out my pics!
cheers
Wally

Geez! Check out the wool on my tail. That's a very bloody old pic! What I have now is most of the wool trimmed right down except for a pennant of wool on my tail tip! I reckon I look very flash!

Mum loves this pic! It was also taken at the Aussie Champs up in Canberra. I think I won an alarm clock in that comp.....as if I need to know the time!! The only time I'm interested in is "walk time", "food time", "dog club time", "going for a drive time" and of course, "sleep time". Mum reckons it comes in handy though!

Mum apologises for this pic, it's not that clear, but this shows the racing in Adelaide....me in particular, racing against a little white dog....I'm just in front, too. Thanks, once again, Golden Grove Flyball School, for putting on a top day!
