The Oriental Rug Society of New South Wales has been in existence since 1981
and promotes interest in and knowledge of Central Asian carpets and related textiles.
They publish a regular newsletter and are affiliated with Sydney's Powerhouse Museum
where they hold meetings every two months. They have organized several major rug and
related textile exhibitions and seminars over the years.
