My "Free-Wanderers"...
Name: Simba
Breed: Black w/ White Short-Haired Cat
Age: 5 years
Tricks: 4-foot wrestling champion!
About My Pet: Simba's my "Original" Rescue, I got him from the local Rescue Leauge days before he was scheduled to be put down. They never thought they were going to find anyone NUTS enough to adopt him...he was so mean-tempered and wild that they literally had to wear gloves to feed him. But all he needed was a good home...and now he's daddy's #1 boy!
Have you ever seen a clumsy cat? This guy can barely walk an even floor without tripping over something and making it look just like he meant to do that! but once he's on his back...watch out, 'cause that's just the place he likes to wrestle from!!! Simba's the type of cat you want to like you...he's got a memory like an elephant, and the weight to match!

Name: Jasmine
Breed: White & Black Long-Haired Cat
Age: 4 years
Tricks: I'm a Princess...you expect me to do more than look beautiful?
About My Pet: As the name and the "Tricks" imply, she's a "princess"...no tricks here!!! Unfortunately there's not too much in the brains department either (Sorry Jasmine...)! She's "like...ya know", the stereotypical Valley-Girl of the cat-world...but she's my little girl!
If there was a way to combine Simba and Jasmine into 1 cat I'd have the "ULTIMATE" cat...but I've got the two of 'em and wouldn't have it any other way!

Names: Boggle, Steel, Speck, Daisy, Mae, Magick, Tess, Trance, Rizzo, Dasher, Parker, D.J., Bailey, Tre, DeeDee, Otis, Skye, Darla, Dru, Vicki, Dot, Patches, Dana, Serenity, Walker, Dixie, Damsel & Socrates.
Breed: Domestic Rats
Ages: Steel, Boggle, and Speck are 3+ years; Daisy, Mae, Magick, Tess, Trance, Rizzo, Dasher, Parker, D.J., Bailey, Tre, DeeDee, Vicki, Dot, Patches, Dana & Serenity are 1+ years; Otis, Skye, Darla, Dru, Walker, Dixie, Damsel & Socrates are less than 1 year old.
Tricks: Playing "How much can I fit in my mouth at once?" (this was Peaches' favorite game), Daemon was such a "clown", he is probably one of the friendliest & playful rats that I've ever seen...and Angel?, well he was anything but an angel, Speck is a funny one, LOVING to be petted & scratched...when you start scratching him, he freezes in whatever position he was in until you stop. Peaches was by far my favorite rat, she was Sneak and Apricot's daughter (two of my first rats). Take all the qualities you've heard/read about rats and multiply by x10...that was Peaches!
My girlfriend and I have bred Dee (R.I.P.), with her male named Palmer that has almost got my girls beat for personality (See MY IA Pets to link to her site) and have received 10 of the most obnixious babies a rat owner could want (and to "us" that a good thing). The others all have their own personalities and qualities, Foxy was the shy one, Daemon & Potter were complete attention hogs, and Hershey was my little "nut" jumping around the cage/climbing the wire walls/chasing the other boys around the cage...he had an inner ear infection and now has a permanent head-tilt, which only makes his "craziness" seem even worse. All in all, they're such cuties I'd need more than this whole page to detail them!
About My Pets: Need I really say more than I already have? Except that most of these rats were actually "feeders" from the reptile room that had to be rescued because they were so darn cute!

Cute & Playful...Muppet, Gump, Bear & Sebastian!
Names: Muppet, Gump, Bear & Sebastian
Breed: Ferret (Silver Sable, Sable Mitt & Chocolate Mitt & Champagne Panda)
Ages: 2 years, 2 years, 1 1/2 years & 3 years
Tricks: We're ferrets...do you think there's enough space here for all of 'em?
About My Pets: My girlfriend and I rescued Muppet from one of the local petstores...the petstore was selling her for under $100, including a 3-story, fully furnished (and I mean "fully", I couldn't add more stuff into it if I wanted to) cage. Seeing that I assumed that she was a uncontrollable ferret, but then heard her story...she was purchased earlier and returned when the person found someone in the house was allergic to her...then purchased again shortly thereafter to be returned again for the same reason. I still can't believe how well behaved she is, she doesn't bite or nip, she doesn't scratch...but she does love to play and cuddle. She's only been here a short time, but she's already settled in and seems to be quite happy. Surfing the Internet I came across Gump sitting in the Boston Animal Shelter...I went up there after work to see him and it was love at first sight. What's with his name? Well, he was at the shelter by the Forrest Hills train stop...so we were going to call him Forrest to remember the "rescue"...needless to say...Forrest became Gump! We just got the "Bear" from a local petstore...he was the last of a litter born in June 2001, and still at the petstore after all this time...trying to get close to him, found him to be aggressive in the cage...but took him out of the cage and after a little "playtime" he was happy and content. The problem at the petstore was that he looked aggressive in the cage so was neglected. Well "ferret math" strikes again and now we've added Sebastian to the group. a friend of mine called me up asking if I'd take in another ferret to avoid him being put down by an owner that didn't want him anymore. He came from a home with multiple ferrets and unlike the others that were apparently "ok" with being sent to seperate homes, his behavior "alone" got a little aggressive, so he needed somewhere with a ferret-family. We've had him for a few days now and since he's been back with a group again, has had no behavior issues.
