1.
The
Race rules for 2005
2. The
October Report of 2005 races We have been on the road every good
day of September. Start from 2 mile then 5 mile, gradually to 10, 25, 50 miles.
We do lost many birds this year duo to the circle virus and the prolong
antibiotic treatments. Also duo to the bed weather we could not finish the
training on time. If weather permitted, we would like to finish the last road training
of 90 miles by October 7th, and the first 150 mile race is
rescheduled for 12th October.
3. The
first race is going on, we have basketed 469 pigeon today. The race will
be 14th. The weather report is good day but with some headwind (10-15 mile
per hour). The inventory has been updated with few late homing pigeons,
they all went to the first race. Please check the results tomorrow (14th).
4. The
second race results is here, total 425 pigeon went to 350km (220mile)
station. The results here is partial, we will update after night.
5. The third race
results is here. Total 373 went to the 450km (285mile) station, with
clear weather. By this time 294 birds have returned to the lofts.
6. There are some
cases of bird influenza in China now, hope that it will not effect our
last race, keep finger crossed!
7. The
forth race or the final race
went on 8th of October, under pressure of bird influenza. Since today
Beijing government announced that all the activities of race pigeon should
be stopped, including the races, training, auction & trading est. Luckily we
got permit of racing last Friday, so the final race could went on. The distance
is 345 mile, or 555 km. The birds released at 7:30, we have 55 birds back
lofts before dark. Please
check the results.
